Dragonfly Lawn Care (DLC) wish to thank you in advance for the opportunity to provide you with our services.  We take great care in providing support to our Civilian/Military communities, and to our veterans who have given so much in the service of Canada.  As a veteran, I take great pleasure in being part of the team who is privileged to serve those who serve, while giving back and providing the best customer service possible.  I welcome the opportunity for DLC to be entrusted to take care of your home property, providing professional services, and making your home property a place you are proud of.

DLC Standard of Business/Cutting

1. DLC charges a flat fee of $45/hr, with a minimum visit charge of one (1) hour.  This is based on one person employed, should there be a second the rate will be $45/hr x 2; however; the time on the job will decrease by at least half.
2. DLC charges normally between $5.00 - $10.00 to remove and dump grass/clippings and the like per visit.  This can change depending on the amount of garden refuse you need to have taken away.  DLC will provide such information in our final quote to your property. If you wish to have the garden refuse dumped on your property then there is not cost incurred by you.
3. DLC operates on a Monday to Friday Schedule so that our clients get to enjoy their properties over the weekends/holidays. 
4. DLC does not normally work on properties during wet and inclement weather simply because it is messy, and we wish to respect our clients, their properties, and keep any mess to a minimum.  However, if the client wishes a particular schedule maintained no matter the weather, we will find a way to work with that client to meet their needs and wishes.
5. DLC Schedule is prepared the week/weekend before the cut week and sent out via e-mail, providing the owner with the time and date of service; however, know the time is not set in stone and needs to be flexible in case of delays and such.
6. DLC will, if requested, with notice, attend and service your property outside the schedule if required for special events and the like.  We simply ask for advance notice of at least a week if possible.
7. Full Weed-Whack of property/trees and the like on the property.
8. Directional mow/bag and remove of all grass cuttings and/or mulching the grass as requested.
9. Weeding of garden areas and common areas as required (this is a special request, entertained on case by case basis – Limited in time and size due to past work-related injuries while serving in the Canadian Forces).
10. Complete blowout of entire driveway, steps, patio areas, roadways in front of the property, etc.
11. DLC shall endeavour to not only meet but then exceed all the needs/expectations, and requirements of our clients, and make every effort to do so in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
12. DLC only cuts when it is needed so that is why we charge only by the hour instead of a contract, that way you, the client, are in control of when and how often you wish to have our service.  When it is dry like in the summer, then if you only need service every 4-6 weeks then that is when it is cut, and you are only billed for the actual service provided.
13. Our schedule is flexible and will be tailored to the clients wants and needs.  Should a cutting not be required then we shall not cut.  If weeding is not needed, we shall not weed.  Service is based on what is needed and requested, so your money is spent of the service you expect and ask for.  If we are not required for a couple of weeks or more, then we shall wait until we are asked to attend to provide our service, thus saving you money and time.  You pay for the service supplied, nothing more.
14. Our schedule is based on your needs, and we shall keep to the same day of the week if so, requested by our client, with a week’s notice given to our schedule so the owners can make sure they are prepared for our visit.  Such as but not limited to:
    a)      Removal of all dog presents from the lawns;
    b)      Removal of toys, etc from the lawn which could cause an issue (we are flexible and will move if needed and are willing to move some);
    c)      Any large or heavy items on the grass area will not be moved by DLC so any cutting will be down around these objects.
    d)      Full access to all lawns and common areas to conduct proper service; and
    e)      The securement of all pets so not to interfere or place them in danger with equipment operation.

Invoice/Payment
DLC provides every job with a detailed invoice, individually numbered, indicating the full cost, service provided as well as the arrival and departure times.  They will be e-mailed to you in PDF format for your review.  Payments for service will be cash, cheque, or E-Transfer please, to the address and name on the invoice, which is:  “Lamont French – DLC”
Invoice payments are accepted at anytime; however; must be paid off no later than the end of each month please.  If mailing a cheque all the billing information/address can be found on the invoice.

DLC Policy on Quotes

On all DLC quotes, if the quote is wrong and the cost ends up higher then you get billed at the quoted price and DLC will take responsibility for misquoting.  If DLC quotes is wrong and the price quoted is less, then you get billed out at the actual price and not the higher quote.  Everything is in favour of you the client!

Quote:  Initial Cut and Clean-Up of Property (Sample wording only)

- Full Weed-Whack/Edge and mow of lawn areas, both front and back (2” length).
- Bag and Dispose of the grass refuse at a location of DLC choosing.
- Minor pruning of tress/bushes (as needed/requested).
- Disposal of all tree branches/shrub cuttings and tree cutting refuse at a location of DLC choosing.
- Blow out of all walkways, patios, steps, driveways and roadway in front of the house.

Price Breakdown

$45/hr Labour (1.5 – 2.0 hours):        $90.00 or less (Total Labour)
Garden Refuse Disposal:                    $20.00 or less

Total Cost:          $110.00 or less (based on the above used products and info)

Follow-Up Schedule (Cutting and Routine Maintenance of the Property)(Sample wording only)

- Will be done as needed only depending on the needs of you the client and your wishes.  In peak growing periods about every 7-10 days; however; in the very dry summer sometimes only once every 4-6 weeks if not longer.  You control the schedule. 
- As discussed, you stated you are looking a bi-weekly which will not be an issue.
- All lawn areas are easy to access and there appears to be no real issues with access with the cutting of this lawn area straight forward.
- DLC normally cuts, bags and removes all lawn cuttings, unless the owner requests that when cut, the lawn will be mulched, and the grass remain as fertilizer.
- Routine removal of grass will be minor in amount and easily done.
- Simple weeding afterwards, if maintained will be minimal.

$45/hr Labour (1.0 hours):              $45.00 per visit (Total Labour)   
Dump Fee (if required):                    $10.00 or less   

Total Cost:          $55.00 or less (Based on the above info)
